  • Yeah, yeah, I know...

I suck, I've not blogged properly for ages.

I've been fupping busy at work, and variously hungover or playing God of War 2 at home.

Will try to blog something of merit tomorrow. Promise.

In the mean time, could somebody tell me why BBC3 haven't realised that Upstaged is utter utter utter shite and cancelled it? Even more Two Pints re-runs would better. At least Two Pints is entertaining. And Will Mellor takes his top off regularly.

  • Happy Easter...

Soy, Phoenix... you might not want to watch...

  • Sobbing ensues...

I'm having a night out with the girls from the office on Saturday. Nothing special, just a few drinks and a curry. Should be fun.

I was looking forward to it until a few minutes ago.

I received a text from Landers:

Hot Chip are playing in the GPO on Saturday.

The GPO being a nightclub in Galway. And I can't go cos I'm already going out.

    Fuckit.

In other news, our water is brown. I went home at lunch time, made myself a glass of orange squash and thought "ooh, that looks a bit strong, I'll add some more water". So I took a swig to make room and it tasted vile so I went bleugh and tipped it away, rinsed the glass out and there was the real reason for the dark colour - brown water with bits floating in it.

    And I'd had a swig.

Oh the joys of living in rural Ireland.

  • It's not fair...

I was surprised that the pain of someone I've met in the flesh only once could bring me to the point of tears.

I can't imagine how you are feeling, but I'm sending you love and I hope you are talking to someone if you need to. There are plenty of people on here who care, and I know you have numbers if you don't want to do it via the computer.

With much love from both of us.

  • Another reason why I love living in Ireland...

The extra bank holidays! We've got one on Monday! Yay!

  • Clever cats...

In case you hadn't noticed, it's been a bit stormy over the last few days!

I've said before about how exposed our house is, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by fields, the wind just howls round it.

We have a routine with the cats. They spend the afternoons and evenings in the house but they go out at night, we normally chuck em out when we go to bed. They sleep in our little barn type thing out the back, and much as I'm sure they'd rather stay in, they're used to it.

We made an exception when we had that snow in January, it was so cold I couldn't bring myself to leave them out overnight. I persuaded Landers, they stayed in, I felt better about it.

Last night, the wind a rain was so awful, Landers suggested letting them stay in overnight. That's how bad it was.

Now, before, when they stayed in overnight, we had time to let them out for a while first to make sure they went to the toilet. Last night, it was too late when we decided to keep them in, so we just had to hope they wouldn't need the loo.

    Oh dear.

Luckily, our cats are very considerate.

One went in the shower cubicle, and one went in the sink! A little bit gross when you first think about it, but hey, it was easy to clean up! Shame they couldn't have gone the extra mile and just used the toilet...

  • Bodge it...

Aside from snickering about the fact that I no longer live in the UK, I would like to say that I happened to see some of the Budget announcement at lunchtime, and all of the response from the Tories, and I was (as ever) disgusted at the groans, shouts and taunts which erupted from both sides of the chamber at various points, which belonged in a school playground.

Kids, having a go at each other across a table.

  • Welcome...

Hello all, welcome to my new blog. I took advantage of my Bloscar prize and changed my username. I've been using Scoobydoofus online for a while now, and I'm pleased to be able to use it here.

I'll be sure to post some really interesting stuff for you to read soon. Honest.

I'll be leaving my old blog up, but I won't be posting on there after a quick post telling people about this new blog.

Here's to another load of crap from my brain!
